To celebrate International Women's Day 2022 last week, we were really excited to record the Thoughts Unboxed podcast. It was brilliant to be joined by Laura, our Senior Content Designer, Rosanna, one of our Senior Delivery Managers, Kassie, our story teller and researcher and developer Rhian Lewis who left Unboxed a few months ago to pursue her dreams, but remains firmly a part of the Unboxed family.
We took the opportunity to talk about what International Women’s Day means to us all and what it means to be a woman working in tech today. It was a real pleasure to listen to the honest thoughts and experiences shared, not just as a woman in tech and a woman at Unboxed, but our experiences of other industries and the pandemic. All big subjects to tackle but it’s so important to have days like International Women's Day to be able to celebrate women’s achievements, continue to raise awareness against bias and to keep taking action again discrimination and inequality.
This is the second in the Thoughts Unboxed podcast series and the first time we have attempted a remote recording. We are being true to our value of learning by doing and it’s fair to say there were a couple of technical hitches, and a few nerves. But if we’ve learnt anything over the last couple of years, it’s that problems happen and we work out how to overcome them!
