UC Berkeley researchers have programmed a robot to complete tasks like a baby would – by playing with objects and then imagining how to get tasks done. This enables them to learn to predict the future outcome of their actions so they can figure out how to manipulate objects they have never encountered before. Now there's a challenge for designers – how do you design a baby robot?
